Who we are

MenuBip is a product of OCMONO Avenues Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in India. We provide digital QR menus, guest ordering, kitchen tickets, captain and tablet tools, and related restaurant software.

Registered office: Flat No. 401, 4th Floor, 35B Siddhivinayak Darshan, Girgaon, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400004, India.

Contact: contact@menubip.com. WhatsApp: +91 88505 33614.

Apps and services this policy covers

This privacy policy applies to all MenuBip products, including:

  • The MenuBip website at menubip.com and related marketing pages
  • The MenuBip restaurant web app at app.menubip.com
  • Public guest menus, including qr.menubip.com
  • The MenuBip iOS app on the Apple App Store
  • The MenuBip Android app on Google Play
  • Kitchen, captain, tablet, and other MenuBip companion apps we publish on iOS or Android
  • Email, WhatsApp, and in-product support

Restaurants that use MenuBip decide what guest information they collect through their menus and orders. For that guest data, the restaurant is typically the controller and MenuBip acts as their service provider. This policy also describes how we process that data on their behalf.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal and device information. Some items are required to create an account or place an order. Others are optional and collected only when you use a feature or grant a permission.

  • Account and contact details: name, email, phone number, company or venue name, public username, role (owner, staff, kitchen, captain), and sign-in identifiers if you use Google, Apple, or similar sign-in.
  • Restaurant content: menus, prices, photos, branding, hours, tables, outlets, and team settings you upload or create.
  • Order and service data: order items, table or room, fulfilment type (dine-in, takeaway, delivery), guest name and phone, delivery address, notes, tickets, and kitchen status.
  • Payment and subscription data: plan, billing status, invoice details, and limited payment tokens from our processor. We do not store full card numbers on MenuBip servers.
  • Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data.
  • Identifiers: app instance IDs, and, where permitted, advertising or device identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android).
  • Usage data: screens viewed, buttons tapped, session length, referral source, and similar product-interaction events.
  • Support messages: anything you send by email, WhatsApp, in-app chat, or the contact form.
  • Approximate location from IP address. Precise location only if you grant location permission for a feature that needs it (for example delivery or nearby-outlet tools).

iOS and Android permissions

MenuBip apps request system permissions only when a feature needs them. You can deny a permission in iOS Settings or Android Settings. Denying a permission may disable that feature; it does not stop you using the rest of the app. Paid features are not conditioned on granting analytics or advertising permissions.

  • Camera: scan QR codes, capture dish or venue photos, or read a printed code.
  • Photos / media library / storage: attach menu images, offer images, or logos. On Android this may include access to files you choose to upload.
  • Notifications: order alerts, kitchen tickets, and service reminders. You can turn these off in system settings.
  • Location (when used): delivery, outlet selection, or map features. We request this only for those features.
  • Microphone (only if a future feature needs it, such as voice notes): not used for marketing.
  • Contacts or phone (only if you choose a feature that needs them, such as calling a guest or importing a number): we do not upload your full address book unless you explicitly start that action.
  • Bluetooth or nearby devices (only if used for printers, kitchen displays, or tablets): used to connect hardware you choose, not to track you.
  • Network access: required to load menus, sync orders, and sign in.

Each permission is explained in the system prompt (Apple purpose string / Android permission rationale) at the time we ask. You can revoke consent later in device settings or by contacting us.

How we collect information

We collect information in these ways:

  • You provide it when you create an account, edit a menu, place or take an order, pay for a plan, or contact support.
  • The app or website collects it automatically through cookies, SDKs, logs, and similar technologies when you use MenuBip.
  • Your device shares it after you grant a permission (camera, photos, notifications, location).
  • Payment processors, sign-in providers (such as Google or Apple), and messaging tools (such as WhatsApp) share limited data needed to complete that action.
  • A restaurant may enter guest details when taking an order on your behalf.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and maintain restaurant and staff accounts, public menu URLs, and team access
  • Publish menus and process guest orders, kitchen tickets, and captain or tablet workflows
  • Take payment, manage trials and subscriptions, and send billing or service notices
  • Send push notifications and operational alerts you enable
  • Respond to sales, onboarding, and support requests
  • Secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and diagnose crashes
  • Measure app and website performance and improve MenuBip
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms

Cookies, SDKs, analytics, and crash data

The MenuBip website uses cookies and Google Tag Manager (and related analytics or advertising tags) to measure visits and improve the site.

The iOS and Android apps may use first-party analytics plus third-party software development kits (SDKs) for hosting, crash reporting, diagnostics, messaging, sign-in, and payments. These SDKs can collect device and usage data as described in this policy.

You can control website cookies in your browser. You can limit advertising identifiers in iOS (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising) and Android (Settings → Google → Ads). Blocking some cookies or identifiers may affect theme memory or measurement, not core ordering.

Advertising and tracking

We do not sell personal information. We do not use guest order contents to build advertising profiles.

On iOS, if we or a partner would access data for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites (Apple’s definition), we will show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt first. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, we will not use your IDFA for that tracking.

On Android, you can reset or opt out of the advertising ID in system settings. We use advertising or measurement tags on the marketing website; in the apps we use identifiers mainly for analytics, crash reporting, and fraud prevention unless you consent to broader measurement.

Push notifications

Restaurant, kitchen, and captain apps may send push notifications for new orders, ticket status, and service alerts. Guests are not required to install an app to view a QR menu.

We collect a device push token only after you allow notifications. You can disable notifications in iOS or Android settings at any time. Turning notifications off does not delete your account.

Payments

Plan checkout is handled by payment processors such as Razorpay, and by Apple or Google if you pay through the App Store or Play Store. We do not store full card numbers on MenuBip servers. The processor (or Apple/Google) receives the details needed to complete payment and may share limited billing status with us so we can activate or renew your plan.

If you subscribe through Apple or Google, their refund and cancellation rules apply in addition to ours. Deleting your MenuBip account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Play Store subscription — you must cancel that subscription in Apple or Google settings.

Displayed prices in USD, GBP, or AUD on the website are estimates for comparison. Final charges are shown at checkout.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the parties below, and only as needed to operate MenuBip.

  • Service providers and SDKs that host, email, message, analyse, report crashes, handle sign-in, or process payments (for example Google, Apple, Razorpay, WhatsApp, and similar vendors)
  • The restaurant whose menu a guest is using, so that venue can fulfil an order or manage service
  • Professional advisers, or authorities, when required by law or to protect MenuBip, our customers, or the public
  • A buyer or successor if we transfer the business, subject to this policy or a successor notice

Any third party with whom we share user data — including analytics tools, advertising networks, SDKs, and any parent, subsidiary, or related entity that can access user data — is required to provide the same or equal protection of that data as stated in this policy and as required by the Apple App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play User Data policy.

App Store and Google Play disclosures

This policy is the public privacy policy linked from the MenuBip iOS listing in App Store Connect and the MenuBip Android listing in Google Play Console. It is also linked inside each app.

Apple App Privacy (nutrition labels) and Google Play Data safety answers are based on the data types in this policy: contact info, user content, photos, orders, purchase history, identifiers, diagnostics, product interaction, and, when you allow it, location and notifications.

On Google Play we disclose whether data is collected, whether it is shared, whether it is encrypted in transit, and whether you can request deletion. Use this page and the account deletion page as the web resource for those answers.

International transfers

MenuBip is operated from India and used by restaurants and guests in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, and other countries. Information may be stored or processed in India and in other countries where our providers operate.

Where a transfer needs extra protection, we use the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent terms.

How long we keep information

We keep account and billing records for as long as the restaurant or staff account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle disputes, tax, and legal duties.

Guest order details are kept so the restaurant can run service and reporting. After an account is deleted we remove or anonymise associated personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep.

We may retain limited data after deletion when the law requires it (for example tax invoices and payment records, typically up to 8 years in India) or for security, fraud prevention, or a legal hold. Crash logs and aggregated analytics that no longer identify you may be kept for product quality.

Support messages are kept long enough to complete the request and improve our help quality.

Account and data deletion

If you can create a MenuBip account in the iOS or Android app, you can also delete that account. Deletion removes the account record and the personal data tied to it. Turning the account off, hiding the menu, or logging out is not deletion.

In the MenuBip iOS or Android app: open Settings (or Account) → Delete account. Follow the confirmation steps. The request must be started inside the app when you still have access to it.

On the web (required by Google Play, and available if you uninstalled the app): go to menubip.com/delete-account or email contact@menubip.com with the subject “MenuBip account deletion request”. Tell us the email, phone, or username on the account. We will verify it is you before we delete.

We complete deletion within 30 days of a verified request, then confirm by email when we can. If you have an active paid plan, cancel it first (or ask us to cancel it) so you are not billed after deletion. App Store and Play Store subscriptions must be cancelled with Apple or Google.

What we delete: profile and login, menu and branding you uploaded, staff invites tied only to you, device tokens, and guest personal details we store for your account where the law allows.

What we may keep: invoices and tax records, fraud or abuse logs, and data a restaurant is legally required to keep for completed orders.

If you are a guest who ordered through a restaurant’s menu and do not have a MenuBip account, email us or the restaurant. We may route the request to that restaurant when they control the data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent where we rely on it.

In India, this includes rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Visitors in the UK, EEA, Australia, or US states with privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA) may have additional rights under those rules, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.

Email contact@menubip.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify who you are before we act. If you are a guest of a restaurant, we may direct the request to that restaurant when they control the data.

Children

MenuBip is built for restaurants and adult hospitality teams. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age). We do not use MenuBip apps in the Google Play Designed for Families programme to target children.

If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use access controls, HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, and least-privilege practices to protect accounts and menus. Data safety answers on Google Play state that data is encrypted in transit.

No internet service is completely secure. Use a strong password or device passcode, keep the app updated, and limit dashboard access to people who need it.

If you run a restaurant on MenuBip

You are responsible for the guest information you collect through your menu, orders, and staff apps, including telling guests how you use it and honouring their requests where the law requires.

Use MenuBip only for legitimate hospitality operations. Do not upload children’s data or special-category information unless you have a lawful reason and the guest has clearly provided it for service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as MenuBip, the iOS or Android apps, or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of MenuBip after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be sent to the email on the account or shown in the app.
